IFFCO KISAN ties up with Ajooni Biotech for supply of BIS Mark Cattle Feed
31 May 2021, New Delhi: IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Ltd today announced it has signed an agreement with Ajooni Biotech Limited, a pioneer in manufacturing of Animal Health Care Products, for sourcing/ procurement of Cattle Feed.
The Cattle Feed will be sold under the brand name ‘IFFCO KISAN’.
The IFFCO subsidiary already has tie-up with seven entities for manufacture Cattle Feed as per the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) guidelines.
IFFCO Kisan Sanchar had sold 1 Lakh MT of cattle feed valued at Rs 160 crore during fiscal 2020-21 in the first full year of its operations, as the firm received tremendous response from customers. The company had entered the Compound Cattle Feed business on a pilot basis during financial year 2019-20.

As per the agreement, Ajooni Biotech will supply BIS Mark Cattle Feed to IFFCO KISAN for Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh and also Jammu & Kashmir region.
“IFFCO Kisan cattle feed is getting such a tremendous response from customers because our entire focus is on quality. With this agreement we will able to cater to more markets and customers in the country,” said Ganesh Dash, National Sales Head, IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Ltd.
The two companies will also jointly explore possibilities of resourcing raw material required to produce Cattle Feed under the brand of IFFCO Kisan from across India.
Mr. Dash further said that Ajooni will also manufacture and supply supplements, minerals, vitamins combinational products specifically designed to manage cattle health and improve productivity as well as solving issues/ disease across cattle life cycle.
The agreement was signed by Sandeep Malhotra, Managing Director of IFFCO Kisan and Jasjot Singh, Managing Director, Ajooni Biotech Limited recently.
Buoyed by the huge response from customers for its quality cattle feed, Delhi-based IFFCO Kisan is further widening its tie-up with third-party manufacturers. It is also considering setting up own manufacturing facility.
“We already have tie-ups with 7 cattle feed manufacturers. As the customers have put-in lots of faith in our products, we are looking to tie-up with 5 more manufacturers,” said Mr. Dash.
He further said the company is also contemplating setting up its own manufacturing plant or take plants on lease for meeting the rising demand for cattle feed.
IFFCO Kisan Cattle Feed is manufactured from the best of the raw materials using the highest standards of manufacturing and as per the guidelines given by the Bureau of Indian Standards, Mr. Dash added.
Cattle feed business now contributes about 30 per cent of the total business of IFFCO Kisan and is a major focus of growth for the company.
Currently four variants (3 Star 4 Star 5 Star and 10 Star) are being supplied in the market, along with this Khal and Mix Mawa and Chips are also available in selected markets. All the Cattle Feed manufacturing units are accomplished with in-house laboratories to check the quality.
