ICAR-IISR, Lucknow celebrates its 71st Foundation Day
16 February 2022, New Delhi: The ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh celebrated its 71st Foundation Day today.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S. Solomon, Former Vice-Chancellor, CSAUA&T, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh urged the Scientists for focusing on the development of the climate-resilient & appropriate varieties for ethanol production, use of nanotechnology, integration of genomics & biotechnology tools and use of ICT based Mobile Apps for transfer of technology, etc. Dr. Solomon stressed on the need for developing the suitable strategy for the management of abiotic and biotic stresses in view of the climate change.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Dr. A.D. Pathak, Director, ICAR-IISR, Lucknow outlined the significant contributions made by 263 Scientists, 372 Technical, 143 Administrative and 400 Supporting Staff Members during the last 7 decades.
