21 March 2022, Uttar Pradesh: The ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh organized the “Technology and Machinery Demonstration Meet-cum-Farmer’s Fair” today.
Inaugurating the Fair, Dr. K.K. Singh, Member, Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board, New Delhi encouraged the farmers for adopting the suitable farm tools and machineries for enhancing the profits from farming.
The Guest of Honor, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh stressed on the Custom Hiring for the use of bigger machinery by the farmers of the local region.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. A. Arunachalam, Director, ICAR-Central Agroforestry Research Institute, Jhansi accentuated on adopting the appropriate tools and machineries for any cropping system.
Earlier, Dr. Amaresh Chandra, Director, ICAR-IGFRI, Jhansi stressed on the small machinery’s use in the farms of Bundelkhand Region.
The Farm Machinery & Post-Harvest Technology Division of the Institute also displayed the machines available in the Kisan Mela organized during the occasion.
The farmers from 20 different Villages of Jhansi, Lalitpur and Tikamgarh Districts from the adjoining areas participated in the event.
The main objective of the Meet was to demonstrate the Institute’s technologies and farm machineries to the farmers of the local region.
