THRIVE Unveils Fourth Academy Cohort: Agri-Food Tech Innovations Set to Disrupt the Industry

21 February 2024, Alberta: SVG Ventures|THRIVE, a global venture and innovation platform is thrilled to announce the 15 companies selected for its highly anticipated fourth Academy program.

The THRIVE Academy is committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the agriculture and food technology space. The 12-week program is designed to de-risk and validate ideas, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the challenges of the industry. The Academy program provides entrepreneurs with specialized programming  and expert guidance and mentorship, fully engaging them in THRIVE’s dynamic global ecosystem. Participants will gain access to THRIVE’s extensive global network of mentors, corporates, and investors to assist them in refining their go-to-market strategies and equipping them for successful capital raises.

The selected cohort will embark on this transformative journey, beginning February 12, 2024. The program will feature in a live demo day on April 11, 2024, at the Hotel Arts in Calgary, where participants will showcase their innovations to investors, industry experts, and potential partners.

The global cohort of THRIVE Academy IV reflects a diverse array of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial talent spanning multiple continents. The participants come from across Canada, Bulgaria, Hungary, and the United States, representing a fusion of diverse perspectives and geographic backgrounds.

The THRIVE Academy continues to be a driving force in advancing agri-food technology, nurturing innovation, and supporting the growth of impactful ventures. The program’s success is underscored by the achievements of its alumni, who have gone on to make significant contributions to the agri-food tech landscape.

The THRIVE Academy’s successful execution is made possible through the generous support of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program, managed by Alberta Innovates. This initiative is further supported by a consortium including the Alberta Ministry of Technology & Innovation, Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), Alberta Innovates, and Olds College.
