While stating this here today, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, said that a decision to this effect was taken in a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala, and Agriculture Minister, Mr. J. P. Dalal, in order to ensure complete coverage of all farmers in the State.
Urging the farmers to register on the MFMB portal fasal.haryana.gov.in, Mr. Kaushal said that the Department had set a target to ensure 100 per cent coverage of farmers under the scheme during Kharif-2020. This would enable them to get their harvest procured at Minimum Support Price, besides being able to avail incentives and subsidies being offered by the Department. This would also help put a curb on malpractices such as sale of stored harvest or crop brought in from other states, which puts extra burden on the resources of the State, he added.
Farmers may contact helpline numbers 1800-180-2117 and 1800-180-2060 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for any assistance.
