Pusa Aditya (NPC- 9)

20 July 2023, New Delhi: A Brassica carinata (Karan rai/Ethiopian mustard) variety, which performs well under rainfed situations with marginal and poor soils. It is immune to downy mildew; resistant to white rust and tolerant to Alternaria blight; Sclerotinia stem rot and powdery mildew; and highly tolerant to aphids under field conditions.

Salient Feature

Suitable for timely sown rainfed situations. Its average seed yield is 14.0 q/ha with 40% oil content. It is highly productive and resists major diseases and aphid infestation.
