Aotearoa Horticulture Action Plan launch – 1 February
11 January 2023, NZ: The landscape for commercial fruit and vegetable growing in Aotearoa New Zealand is set to change markedly, driven by a target to double the value of horticulture production volumes by 2035.
To be successful, our sector must have a tangible plan in place, working alongside a range of key partners.
The Aotearoa Horticulture Action Plan is rooted in social licence – that is, developing an understanding among the public, government and stakeholders that growers are key to ‘feeding the future’: from how produce is grown, picked, packed, transported and sold; to how the sector improves productivity, innovates, and grows its communities, people and market value.
The Aotearoa Horticulture Action Plan will be officially launched on Wednesday 1 February 2023.
We invite everyone in our industry to attend and encourage product groups to invite their wider members.
