ADAMA Achieves Top Maala ESG Index “Platinum+” Ranking

20 July 2023, Israel: ADAMA Ltd., one of the world’s leading crop protection companies, announced that it has improved to the highest possible level on Maala’s 2023 ESG rating: Platinum+.

The report reflects ADAMA’s performance across various spheres of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) during 2022. This year’s higher score was due to demonstration of improvements in various areas, particularly in environmental performance and Diversity & Inclusion.

“Our 2022 ESG Report showcases ADAMA’s progress and highlights our practical and focused approach to sustainability, which starts with our products and operations and continues through our people and communities surrounding our sites around the world,” said Dr. Juan Valero, Chief Sustainability Officer at ADAMA. “The high ranking, we received from Maala reinforces the fact that our commitment extends beyond mere promises to meaningful actions.”

The official announcement of the Index took place at a special event held at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, at which the President of Israel and key industry leaders rang the opening bell.

“This achievement is the result of the collective effort and extensive collaboration of many of our people, and we would like to thank all those who were involved and contributed to this success,” Dr. Valero continued.

Maala is a non-profit corporate membership organization that serves as a hub for ESG in Israel and is considered the standard for ESG in the country. ADAMA has been a member of the Maala network for more than a decade. The index rates more than 150 Israeli companies, with a combined turnover of approximately $142 billion and a workforce of over 300,000 employees.
