The company is targeting to generate approximately 80 to 100 crores initially, with gradual increases expected each year.

19 March 2024, New Delhi: Best Agrolife Ltd (BAL) has announced that it has secured registration for the indigenous manufacturing of Pymetrozine 30%, Dinotefuran 10%, and Pyraclostrobin 20% which will be available in the market under the brand name ‘Defender’.

The Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has granted registration under section 9(3) to Seedlings India Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Best Agrolife Ltd. Defender will provide dual-action protection against insect pests and fungal diseases in paddy crops.

Defender protects the paddy crop against fungal diseases such as Early Blight, Frog eye leaf spot, Alternaria leaf spot, and Alternaria leaf blight. Furthermore, it effectively eradicates Brown Planthopper (BPH), a major threat to paddy crops, ensuring improved yields and crop resilience.

BAL is poised to commence commercial production and sales of Defender from May 2024. With an estimated annual business size of 150 crores, BAL anticipates generating revenue of approximately 80 to 100 crores initially, with gradual increases expected each year.
