Best Agrolife Announces Proposal to Acquire Sudarshan Farm Chemicals India Pvt Ltd.

12 March 2024, New Delhi: Best Agrolife Ltd (BAL) has recently revealed its plan to acquire Sudarshan Farm Chemicals India Pvt Ltd. (SFCL), a renowned name in the field of agrochemicals and innovative process chemistries. With an impressive intellectual property (IP) portfolio of 10 patents (applied), this strategic acquisition aims to leverage SFCL’s significant research and development (R&D) capabilities and backward-integrated technical manufacturing knowledge.

The proposed acquisition is anticipated to provide Best Agrolife access to SFCL’s complete IP portfolio and its R&D division, thereby complementing Best Agrolife’s existing R&D divisions located in Gajraula and Noida. By utilizing this acquisition, Best Agrolife intends to enhance its technical brownfield and greenfield capacities.

SFCL, which traces its heritage back to Sudarshan Chemical Industry, a trusted name in the field for 40 years, has earned the trust of farmers. As part of the merger, Best Agrolife will gain access to all of SFCL’s renowned brands, including “Sutathion,” “Suphos,” “Suchlor,” and “Sumidon.” This acquisition will allow Best Agrolife to strengthen its presence in the central and south zones by incorporating the SFCL brands.

Furthermore, by utilizing Sudarshan’s extensive network of over 2500 dealers, Best Agrolife aims to enhance its market reach. This extended network is expected to act as an inorganic growth accelerator, aligning with Best Agrolife’s proposed capacity expansion plans.
