Tissue Culture in Mass Multiplication of Orchids for Commercial Purposes: Techniques, Protocols and Innovating New Methods
13 April 2024, New Delhi: ICAR- National Research Centre for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim organised an Interactive meeting on Tissue Culture in Mass Multiplication of Orchids for Commercial Purposes: Techniques, Protocols, and Innovating New Methods today.
Dr. Arunava Pattanayak, Former Director, ICAR- Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora & ICAR-Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, Ranchi, was the Chief Guest for the programme.
Dr. Dipankar Saha, Chairman, HRD Unit, PI, IPR Project and In-charge, IP&TMU, ICAR-NRCO spoke about the contributions of Dr. Pattanayak for the National Agriculture Research System for more than three decades in different agro-ecosystems of the country.
The institute’s scientists and research scholars discussed their methods and techniques for tissue culture work, highlighting both the challenges they faced and the success they achieved in their daily executions.
