28 December 2022, New Delhi: PepsiCo India launched a new video tribute to farmers on National Farmers’ Day (Kisan Diwas) last week. The video titled ‘Dil Se Naman’ celebrates the invaluable contribution of farmers to the socio-economic development of our country.

Over the last 33 years, PepsiCo India has established a model of collaborative agriculture that works with over 27,000 farmers across 14 states. Apart from providing 360-degree agriculture-specific support to farmers, PepsiCo India has also implemented various initiatives for their welfare under the Positive Agriculture pillar of its pep+ (pep positive) vision. These include economic empowerment of farmers, digitization for crop monitoring, best practices in crop rotation and irrigation, access to safe drinking water, and capacity building on regenerative farming practices to improve yields and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

An example of this is the award-winning PepsiCo-USAID Women’s Land Rights and Economic Empowerment program, which has provided skills and knowledge on potato agronomy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship to over 1500 women farmers since 2019. Another successful partnership from PepsiCo India with N-Drip aims to help farmers increase water efficiency through innovative technology in crop irrigation.

The ‘Dil Se Naman’ video is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the farming community for their unwavering resolve and perseverance.
