Blooom Ag India Private Limited, is a fully-owned subsidiary of Blooom International, AG, a Switzerland-based Social Enterprise (www.blooom.farm).

Access to market is pivotal not only for ensuring an increase in income of farmers but also a critical first step towards ensuring food and nutritional security of the nation by addressing the problem of agriculture wastage (~30%) with a resultant increase of carbon footprint (land filling of agriculture waste causes more than one-third of carbon dioxide emissions).

“Despite all our sincere endeavours, the objective of arresting this wastage has not been accomplished due to lack of curating a farmer-centric value chain /supply chain, which is inclusive, transparent ,traceable and efficient”, said Mr. Krishna Chandra Mishra, Chairman, Blooom Ag.

The current conundrum called for a paradigm shift, which led Blooom Ag to undertake an extensive research for the past couple of years, an in-depth study across different geographic locations which lead to the first version of BlooomMx; a platform to address the systemic problems of agriculture producers market and food market system by integrating the power of both “enterprise” and “digital technology” with community ownership.

The platform will help in solving the issue of agricultural wastage in the State, Country and eventually across the Globe.
