PAU Trains Rural Women In Processing Of Seasonal Fruit And Vegetables
17 December 2020, Punjab: The Department of Extension Education, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized training-cum-demonstration on “Processing of Seasonal Vegetables” in the village Abbuwal under the guidance of Dr JS Mahal, Director of Extension Education and Dr Kuldeep Singh, Head, Department of Extension Education. Rural women attended the training programme.

Dr Dharminder Singh, Senior Extension Scientist, encouraged the rural women to read farm literature and reap benefits from various training programmes of PAU.
Dr Lakhwinder Kaur, Extension Scientist, welcomed the participants and subject experts. She motivated the women to develop self-help groups to adopt this occupation as a source of income.
Dr Kulvir Kaur, Assistant Professor (Home Science), emphasized the importance of balanced diet in human health. She also explained preparation of delicious and nutritional recipes from various seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Mrs Kamalpreet Kaur, Demonstrator (Home Science), assisted in conducting method demonstration on preservation of seasonal fruit and vegetables.
During the demonstrations, literature on nutritional recipes was distributed among participants. Sardar Ravinder Singh, Village Sarpanch, also graced the occasion.
