PAU Signs Moa With Patiala Based Company

31 July 2021, Punjab: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has collaborated with Sunny Engineering Works, Patiala for commercialization of Modified PAU Fixed Dome Type Janta Model Biogas Plant having capacity from 25 m3/day to 500 m3/day technology. Dr NS Bains, Director of Research, PAU and Sunny Engineering Works, Patiala signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on behalf of their organizations.

Dr Rajan Aggarwal, Head, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, said that the technology helps in getting economical fuel, manure and maintaining cleanliness, especially, during rainy season.

Giving details about the technology, Dr Sarbjit Singh Sooch, Principal Scientist, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, explained that the construction of this type of plant is easy and it is an all brick masonry structure. This design is suitable for all regions of the country, he added.

Dr MIS Gill, Dean, College of Agriculture; Dr AS Dhatt, Additional Director of Research (Horticulture and Food Science); Dr PPS Pannu, Additional Director of Research (Natural Resource and Plant Health Management); and Dr Amarjit Kaur Associate Director, Technology Marketing and IPR Cell congratulated Dr Aggarwal and his team as well as the proprietor for sharing the responsibility of disseminating this technology developed by PAU.

Dr Usha Nara, Plant Breeder, TMIPRC, informed that PAU has signed a total of 256 MoAs and commercialized 67 technologies.
