Madhya Pradesh to start Moong procurement at MSP from June 15

09 June 2021,Bhopal, IN: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that moong will be purchased at minimum support price in the state. The farmers were addressed virtually at the launch program by Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan and the Agriculture Minister of the state Mr. Kamal Patel.

Registration for the purchase has already started. Procurement will be initiated from 15 June 2021. Due to low prices of summer moong in the state markets, the minimum support price has been fixed at Rs 7,196 per quintal. The purchase will continue for 90 days with all necessary precautions of covid-19. This decision for initiating procurement at MSP was taken to protect the interest of the farmers. Adequate arrangements are have been made for the procurement & storage of Moong in the monsoon across the state.

Madhya Pradesh farmers will be able to repay short-term crop loan till June 30

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that at present 42 lakh hectares in the state is currently irrigated which is planned to go upto 65 lakh hectares. Date of repayment for short term crop loans disbursed by cooperative societies is extended to 30th June 2021.
