Haryana government to help farmers with timely supply of fertilizers
08 September 2021, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal said that the priority of the State Government is to timely provide fertilizers to the farmers and to store more fertilizers than last year so that the farmers don’t face any problem regarding shortage of fertilizers for the next crops.
He said this during a meeting held with the officials of the Agriculture Department here today. While directing the officers, he said that keeping in view the upcoming season of wheat, mustard and potato crops, there should be no shortage of fertilizers in the state.

While directing the representatives of five fertilizer companies in the meeting, the Agriculture Minister said that dealers have been directed not to insist the farmers to buy pesticides along with fertilizers so that the expanses of the farmers can be reduced and they can get fertilizers as per their requirement. He directed the representatives of the fertilizer companies to issue a letter in this regard to all the fertilizer dealers. He said that their license can be cancelled if any dealer disobeys these orders.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra, Director General Agriculture, Sh. Hardeep Singh and other officers of the Department were also present in the meeting.
