FASC Amritsar organised a farmer training camp on “judicious use of agro chemicals and diversification for better management of the resources”

19 February 2021, Punjab, IN: FASC Amritsar organised a farmer training camp on “Judicious use of agro chemicals and diversification for better management of the resources” in village Madhu Chhanga in which nearly 73 farmers of villages Madhu Chhanga, Gore Nangal and Matte Nangal participated. On the occasion Dr. Gurmeet Singh discussed the nature of damage, symptoms of attack and management practices of different insect pests and diseases of rabi crops. He told that control of aphids at earhead stage by economic threshold level, recommended time and other techniques to check their further spread.

Farmers were also made aware about new invasive pests. Propiconazole was also distributed to the selected farmers to produce disease free crop with the help of demonstrations. Dr Narinderpal Singh discussed the depletion of natural resources and farming income related issues. He stressed to the small farmers for adoption of vegetables for their better livelihood and good farming.
