135 farmers and farm women attend PAU kisan club’s webinar
05 February 2021, Punjab, IN: As many as 135 farmers and farm women attended the monthly training webinar of the PAU Kisan Club, organised under the aegis of the Directorate of Extension Education.
Dr TS Riar, Associate Director (Skill Development), welcomed the participating farmers and the farm women and shared the activities of the club.
Experts Dr RS Sohu, Dr JS Chawla, Dr Ruma Devi and Dr Gagandeep Kaur delved upon seed production of berseem, maize seed production, successful cultivation of vegetables and onion seed production, and kitchen garden, respectively.
Dr AS Poonia, President of PAU Kisan Club, advised the farmers to seek technical know-how of seed production from the University experts.
Mr Manpreet Grewal, a progressive farmer, explained the process to be followed for the membership of the club.
Dr Rupinder Kaur, Coordinator of women’s wing of the club, highlighted the monthly activities of the club.
Dr Kiran Grover, Principal Extension Specialist (food and nutrition), threw light on the nutritional value of seasonal vegetables.
Mr Ravinder Bhalooria proposed a vote of thanks.
