Soybean Variety RSC 11-42
12 June 2024, Bhopal: RSC 11-42 has been developed by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur which is also the center for the All India Soybean Research Project. In the continuous trials conducted in the eastern region during the year 2021 to 2023, it has achieved 27 percent more production than the competitive variety at an average rate of 2299 kg/ha. This variety has semi-limited growth and purple flowers.
Soybean Variety RSC 11-42 has moderate resistance to Indian bud blight disease and bacterial pustule while it has moderate resistance to Rhizoctonia aerial blight. It is moderately resistant to girdle beetles. Its average maturity period is 101 days. This variety has been found suitable for the eastern region that includes Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal
