Pusa Gehun Sharbati (HI 1665)

23 August 2024, New Delhi: Pusa Gehun Sharbati (HI 1665) is an open pollinated wheat Variety developed by ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute Regional Station, Indore. 

It is suitable for timely sown, restricted irrigated condition. It yields 33.0 q/ha and maturity is 110 days. It is tolerant to heat and drought (heat sensitivity index 0.98 and drought sensitivity index 0.91). It has excellent grain quality and is bio-fortified with higher grain zinc content (40.0 ppm). It is resistant to leaf and stem rust. It can be grown in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Plains of Tamil Nadu.
