05 February 2025, New Delhi: UP 2844, developed by GBPUA&T, Pantnagar, is a high-yielding wheat variety officially notified on April 1, 2019. This variety is well-suited for late sown, irrigated production conditions in the plains of Uttarakhand. With an average yield of 42.04 quintals per hectare and a potential yield of 69.81 quintals per hectare, UP 2844 presents a solid option for local farmers.
