High-Yielding Wheat Variety MACS 4058

03 February 2025, New Delhi: MACS 4058 is a durum wheat variety developed for timely sown, restricted irrigated conditions in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Tamil Nadu. It is known for high protein content and strong resistance to leaf and stem rust, making it a durable and quality-oriented wheat variety.

This variety was developed by ARI, Pune, and was notified under 3482(E) on 07.10.2020. It delivers an average yield of 30.6 q/ha and a potential yield of 37.1 q/ha, making it one of the top-performing wheat varieties in the region.
