High Yielding Wheat Variety HPW 368: Suitable for Himachal Pradesh

03 February 2025, New Delhi: HPW 368, also known as Him Palam Gehun 2, is a high-yielding wheat variety developed by CSK HPKV, Palampur. Officially notified on January 6, 2020, this variety is designed for timely sown, irrigated/rainfed production conditions in the low and mid hills of Himachal Pradesh. HPW 368 yields an average of 26.0 quintals per hectare under rainfed conditions and 50.9 quintals per hectare under irrigated conditions.

A key feature of HPW 368 is its resistance to yellow and brown rust, which enhances its reliability for farmers in the region. This variety not only provides decent yields but also assures quality and sustainability in production, making it an excellent choice for Himachal Pradesh.
