03 February 2025, New Delhi: HI 8805 (Pusa Wheat 8805) is a durum wheat variety developed for timely sown, restricted irrigated conditions in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and the plains of Tamil Nadu. With its high iron content and disease resistance, this variety is perfect for farmers seeking nutritionally rich wheat production.
Developed by ICAR-IARI RS, Indore, it was notified under 99(E) on 06.01.2020. It offers an average yield of 30.4 q/ha and a potential yield of 35.4 q/ha, making it a promising option for wheat growers in the region.
