High-Yielding Wheat Variety HI 1633 (Pusa Vani)
03 February 2025, New Delhi: HI 1633 (Pusa Vani) is a bread wheat variety developed for late-sown, irrigated conditions in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Tamil Nadu. It is a nutrient-rich wheat variety with high protein, iron, and zinc content, making it highly valuable for human consumption.
Developed by ICAR-IARI RS, Indore, this variety was notified under 500(E) on 29.01.2021. It has an average yield of 41.7 q/ha and a potential yield of 65.8 q/ha, making it a high-yielding wheat variety for farmers facing late-sowing challenges.
