High Yielding Wheat Variety AAI-W9: Best for Uttar Pradesh

05 February 2025, New Delhi: AAI-W9, also known as SHIATS-W9, is a high-yielding wheat variety developed by SHUAT&S, Prayagraj, and officially notified on December 26, 2018. This variety is well-suited for timely sown production conditions in Uttar Pradesh, with an average yield of 38.37 quintals per hectare and a potential yield of 50.52 quintals per hectare.

AAI-W9 exhibits resistance to brown rust, leaf blight, karnal bunt, and lodging, along with tolerance to high temperatures and waterlogging. This makes it a reliable choice for farmers in Uttar Pradesh seeking a high-yielding and resilient wheat variety.
