05 February 2025, New Delhi: AAI-W15, also referred to as SHUATS–W15, is a high-yielding wheat variety developed by SHUAT&S, Prayagraj, and officially notified on July 20, 2021. This variety is designed for timely sown, rainfed or restricted irrigation production conditions in Uttar Pradesh, with an average yield of 19.86 quintals per hectare and a potential yield of 26.26 quintals per hectare.
One of the key features of AAI-W15 is its terminal heat tolerance at the grain-filling stage, along with resistance to brown and black rust. This makes it a suitable option for farmers in Uttar Pradesh looking for a high-yielding variety that can withstand challenging weather conditions.
