HD 3298: High-Yielding Wheat Variety for Very Late Sown Conditions
02 February 2025, New Delhi: HD 3298 is a high-yielding wheat variety developed by ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, specifically for very late sown conditions. This variety has an average yield of 39.0 q/ha and a potential yield of 47.4 q/ha, making it a reliable option for farmers facing delayed sowing. HD 3298 is known for its high grain protein content (12.12%) and iron concentration of 43.1 ppm, enhancing its nutritional value. Additionally, it scores 7.78/10 in chapatti quality and 7.27/10 in bread quality, ensuring its commercial viability in food processing industries.
