18 March 2025, Chennai: Dr. Lakshmi Venu, Director of TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited has been appointed as Vice Chairman of TAFE. Dr. Lakshmi is a dynamic leader, reputed for her achievements in the farm mechanization and auto component business.
Dr. Lakshmi’s strategic thinking, customer-centric approach, strong quality orientation and deep involvement in TAFE’s Massey Ferguson and Eicher Tractors business, is reflective of her leadership and her deep commitment to people, innovation and excellence. In recognition, TAFE appointed Dr. Lakshmi Venu, as the Vice Chairman of the TAFE Board.

Dr. Lakshmi’s contributions have earned her several accolades, including being recognized as one of Business Today’s “Most Powerful Women in Business” in 2023. She is also the recipient of the Economic Times “Young Leaders – 40 under 40” recognition. Dr. Lakshmi is also the Managing Director at Sundaram-Clayton Ltd., a leading automotive component manufacturer. She is a graduate from Yale University and a Doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Warwick, UK.
