Scottish Application Workshop to show latest innovations in spraying

25 January 2022, UK: Farmers, agronomists and sprayer operators in Scotland will get the latest updates and practical advice to aid accurate crop applications this season, at a Syngenta Application Workshop to be held in Fife on Tuesday February 15.

The free workshop will cover new technologies and innovations across a range of crops, including cereals and potatoes, along with latest recommendations for 2022 from Syngenta and Scottish Agronomy.

Taking place at Inverdovat Farm, Newport-on-Tay, Fife, by kind permission of W R & H H Brown, presentations will cover targeting spring herbicide and fungicide applications, along with results of research and trials that will transform potato blight spraying in the future.

Visitors will get to see the exciting new Syngenta 3D ninety nozzle, that has been shown to reliably combine significantly reduced risk of spray drift with improved results from applications – from pre-emergence herbicide treatment through to potato crop fungicide and desiccation.

Also, a hands-on demonstration of the innovative industry-wide closed-transfer system that is the future for filling sprayers, which can improve sprayer efficiency and output, while reducing risk of spillage or environmental loss.

Syngenta Area Manager, Katie Murray, encouraged all growers to attend the event, and to bring along their sprayer operators.

“It will combine the science and technology behind improving application, along with practical tips and advice on product best practice – to get the most out of every application.”

NRoSO and BASIS points will be available for attending, along with refreshments available throughout the day. Registration is required for the event.
