20 November 2024, Madrid: The Case IH Puma 260 has achieved a remarkable dual victory at the 2024 Tractor of Spain Awards, winning the titles for both Tractor of Spain (overall winner) and Tractor of Spain in the category for tractors over 201hp.
These awards recognize the Puma 260 as the market’s best-designed tractor for the needs of a wide range of Spanish farmers. This model leads the latest generation of Puma tractors, which have undergone the most significant upgrade since the range was launched 15 years ago. The new Puma tractors feature an 8% larger cab, more storage areas, and an unprecedented level of comfort in this Case IH segment. In addition, they offer 11% more glass area for an unobstructed panoramic view. The cab also benefits from improved acoustic insulation, reducing noise levels by 50% to 66 decibels, among the lowest in the industry. The reduction in operator stress and fatigue this brings is further enhanced by an interior with a premium automotive-style finish. On CVXDrive models, larger and stronger axles allow a gross vehicle weight of up to 15,000kg and the possibility of mounting rear tires of up to 2.05m (710/70 R42), increasing the footprint by up to 18% for greater traction and less soil compaction. The award-winning Puma 260 model is also the most powerful Puma ever, delivering 11% more power than the previous top model in the range, reaching 302hp with Power Management.

Held every two years, the Tractor of Spain Awards are organized by Agrotécnica magazine, in collaboration with FIMA, Asaja and Agroeuropa. The jury comprises experts in agricultural machinery who choose the best tractor in five categories: over 200hp; 101-200hp; up to 100hp; utility tractors, and specialized tractors. The overall winner, the Tractor of the Year in Spain, is selected from among the five category winners. The popular vote, collected through the official website of these awards, is also added to the final score.
