Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024
18 September 2024, New Delhi: The Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024 commenced today with a heightened emphasis on cleanliness and environmental sustainability under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata.” This year’s campaign, running from 17th September to 1st October 2024, was inaugurated with a formal Swachhta Pledge and a plantation drives ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ aimed at fostering community engagement and promoting environmental stewardship. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Swachh Bharat Mission, adding further significance to the campaign.
Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR) administered the Swachhta Pledge today. Mr. Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR) also graced the occasion.
The DDGs, ADG (coordination), and all 113 research institutes, including 731 KVKs (with all staff), joined virtually.
