We All Learn And Exchange The Experiences Adopted By Various Countries

23 November 2021, Chandigarh: Greeting the Israelian Delegates, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare  Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal said that by organising  such National Agriculture Conferences, we all learn and exchange the experiences adopted by various countries to improve Horticulture.

Addressing the Israelian Delegates and Scientists of Horticulture on Shalom Club programme during third day of India- Israel Conference on Centres of Excellence and Villages of Excellence organised at Panchkula today, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal said that besides Agriculture, Haryana is welcoming all the countries to adopt new techniques used in fish rearing as Haryana has an excellent approach in fish production. He further urged the farmers of the country to adopt horticulture and less water consuming crops to meet the shortage of underground water in some regions of the country.

Sh. J. P Dalal said that now modern strategies of horticulture are being provided to the identified villages of State under Village of Excellence programme which will further benefit the farmers of the state. This step will enhance the trend of adopting horticulture new techniques and farmers would be able to increase their income sources as well. So far, 11 centres of excellence have been established within the state of Haryana with the help of National and International Agencies. Besides this, the state government has decided to setup 64 centres of excellence in villages throughout the state within the year of 2021 to promote modern strategies in horticulture.

While addressing the programme, Dr. Arjun Singh Saini, Director General, Horticulture Department Haryana said that through new technology are exchanged from one country to another by organising such conferences. The farmers of the country can achieve the great heights in the field of horticulture by adopting the new technologies.

Mr. Yair Eshel, Agriculture Attache MASHAV also shared his views on horticulture farming techniques. Israelian experts and deligates, Mr. Naor Gilon, Ms. Hodaya Avzada were also present during the occasion.
