Mr. JP Dalal Inspected The Land Identified In Sector 52A Of Gurugram Proposed For Flower Market Today

18 December 2020, Chandigarh, IN: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. JP Dalal inspected the land identified in Sector 52A of Gurugram proposed for flower market today.  At this place a flower market will be made on about 8 acres.  The Agriculture Minister informed that there is a plan to develop this flower market on public-private partnership (PPP) basis.

Subsequently, the Agriculture Minister also inspected the Khandsa Vegetable and Fruit Market and the Farmers Rest House in Gurugram.  During this, he said that there should be a daily cleaning system in the vegetable market and a composting plant should be set up for waste management here.  He ordered for improvement of Khandsa Mandi as well.

Mr. Dalal also visited the Tissue Culture Centre of Sheel Biotech Private Limited at village Saharawan near Manesar in Gurugram district and sought information about the techniques for developing new improved varieties of plants there.

While interacting with mediapersons the Minister said that the old agricultural laws were not of benefit to the farmers. Had the old laws been beneficial for the farmers, the farmers would have been rich and prosperous in the last 73 years.  The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has implemented new agricultural laws, with a view to meet the target of doubling the income of farmers by the year 2022.
