01 September 2020, Chandigarh, IN: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has initiated the process of verification of bajra crop sown during Kharif-2020. The work will be completed by September 10, 2020.
Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, said that in order to ensure that genuine farmers get a fair price for their crop and that the State’s funds are not spent on crops from neighbouring states, the Haryana Government had decided to procure only that bajra this year, the details of which had already been submitted by farmers on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal and verified by the officers.
Efforts are being made to ensure complete and timely verification of crop data so that farmers in the State may be able to get their harvest procured at Minimum Support Price, besides being able to avail incentives and subsidies being offered by the Department. Inaccuracies would not be tolerated and stringent action would be taken against the officers in case of any lapse, he added.
About 650 officials had already been deployed in all districts to verify crop data submitted by farmers, within the prescribed timeline. The verification data would be entered through web application.
Mr. Kaushal said that additional manpower was being engaged against each sanctioned post of Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) through the Outsourcing Policy of the State Government to ensure timely completion of the crop booking exercise.
Additional Manpower Engagement
One additional manpower would also be engaged in each of the bajra-growing districts. The same person deployed with ADO would also conduct the crop cutting experiments in the same village after crop booking.
Deputy Director, Agriculture (DDA) concerned would arrange one person per sanctioned post of ADO through the Outsourcing Policy from the authorised outsourcing agency of the district.
The candidate would be an Agriculture Graduate and would be entitled to the monthly wages of semi-skilled person on respective DC rate for Supervisor in respective district. These outsourced persons would continue working throughout the year and would associate with the ADO for crop cutting experiment, ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ and other extension activities of the Department.
One additional manpower each would be engaged by the DDAs concerned in the bajra-growing districts, namely Mahendragarh, Bhiwani, Rewari, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Gurugram and Mewat, for two months for only crop booking purposes. In addition to the services of these outsourced persons, the concerned DDAs could also engage Saksham Yuvas for crop booking, if required and as per the availability of manpower. Maximum three Saksham Yuvas could be engaged per sanctioned post of all ADOs, for only two months.
Mr Kaushal said that the National Informatics Centre (NIC) would create district-level Users (DDAs) and their login credentials. DDAs would further create Sub-Users (ADOs) and would allocate villages to each User in his district. It would be the responsibility of the DDAs to ensure that each and every village in their respective districts is assigned to an ADO.
The ADO concerned would download and take a print-out of the Murba/Khewat/Killa/Area in respect of villages assigned to him. The information would be downloaded and printed in the provided template with pre-filled information, except the name of the crop.
Explaining the process of crop booking, Mr. Kaushal said that the ADO concerned and his representative or supporting manpower would verify and fill only the name of the crop sown in the particular khasra number through the drop-down option. There is no option for verification of the owner of the land.
At any stage, if any ADO or his representative or supporting staff would like to view the list of the owners in a particular khasra number, they may click on khasra number. A popup window containing the details of all the land owners in that particular khasra would open.
Farmers in Haryana may register on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal fasal.haryana.gov.in till September 7, 2020. They may contact helpline numbers 1800-180-2117 and 1800-180-2060 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for any assistance. As many as 6,37,568 farmers have so far registered 35,16,663.44 acres on the portal, he added.
