24 December 2020, Chandigarh, IN: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi for releasing the seventh installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to the accounts of farmers on the occasion of Sushasan Diwas.
As much as, Rs. 360 crores have been deposited in the accounts of 18 lakh farmers of Haryana under this scheme. The Prime Minister transferred this amount to the accounts of farmers digitally. So far, Rs 2225.30 crores have been deposited in the accounts of farmers under this scheme in the state. The programme was telecast live on National TV. During this time, the Prime Minister spoke to the farmers of different states. During the transfer of the seventh installment of Rs 18,000 crores have been deposited in the accounts of 9 crore farmers of the country.
This programme was viewed by farmers at the Panchayat level in Haryana. A farmer, Mr. Hari Singh of Fatehabad district shared experiences regarding small holdings with the Prime Minister. Hari Singh shared the experience and urged farmers to emphasise on horticulture. This programme was also viewed by Director General of Agriculture Mr. R.S. Verma and other senior officers.
