Review of ICAR- Directorate of Knowledge management in Agriculture
15 August 2022, New Delhi: A review meeting on functioning and strengthening of ICAR- Directorate of Knowledge management in Agriculture was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR).
Dr Pathak applauded the commendable work done by ICAR-DKMA in dissemination of agricultural knowledge generated in NARS system to the stakeholders. The ICAR-DKMA works as mouthpiece of ICAR, he added. He also urged to identify two important activities, that can be implemented immediately for better visibility.
Dr. A.K.Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), Dr. J.K. Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries Science), Dr. B.N. Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), Dr. S.N. Jha, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering), and Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Horticultural Science) Dr. D. K. Yadav, Assistant Director general (Seeds) also present in the meeting.
All the DDGs gave their comments on strengthening of the Directorate.
Dr. S K Malhotra, Director, ICAR-DKMA made a presentation about the activities and achievements of the Directorate.
