National Science Day 2025 Celebrations at CSKHPKV, Palampur
03 March2025, New Delhi: The College of Basic Sciences at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi celebrated ‘National Science Day 2025’ with great enthusiasm. Prof. Naveen Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University, was the Chief Guest at the event. The theme for this year National Science Day was: “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat.” Prof. Naveen Kumar, distributed the prizes to winners of various competitions like declamation, science quiz, poster making, and rangoli competitions etc. organized during the celebration. The first prize winners were Varnika Saroch for Declamation Competition; Isha Saklani in Poster Making Competition; Sourabh Kaundal & Omisha Rajput in Science Quiz;and Sourabh Kaundal & Shaiena Ranain Rangoli Making Competition. Prof. Naveen Kumar congratulated the winners for their outstanding performances. He stressed the importance of scientific innovation, interdisciplinary research, and global collaboration, particularly in the context of India’s mission to become a global leader in science and technology. The celebrations aimed to inspire students to engage deeply in scientific research and innovation.
A major highlight of the celebrations was a series of lectures on Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Mr. Vivek Sharma (Co-Founder, Instaheadshots & Magic Studio) and Mr. Rajat Dhariwal (Founder, AI Good). Their discussions on AI’s impact across industries captivated the audience, emphasizing its importance in scientific research.
The event, organized under the Science Club of the College of Basic Sciences, had support from HIMCOSTE, Shimla.The SBI HPAU Branch under their CSR initiative also supported the event financially. The event was a testament to the commitment of Agriversity in promoting scientific talent and innovation among students.
