Indore Agriculture Department registers case against illegal storage of fertiliser

24 December 2021, Indore: In a major action taken by the Agriculture Department in Indore district under the direction of Indore Collector Mr. Manish Singh, FIR has been lodged against Vikas Gupta, Manager of Madhav Sales Corporation Private Limited, Indore at Lasudia police station.

According to the information given by the Agriculture Department, under the Essential Commodities Act 1955 Section 3/7 and Fertilizer Quality Control Order 1985 Section 8(1)(2), a case has been registered against the accused Vikas Gupta Manager M/s Madhav Sales Corporation Private Limited Indore for illegal storage of fertiliser.

Inspection of the warehouse and office was done by the district level team of Agriculture Department. District Fertilizer Inspector Mr. Rajendra Singh Tomar, Assistant Director Agriculture Mr. Sandeep Yadav and Mr. Vijay Jat were present during the inspection.

As per the report, Single Super Phosphate powder quantity 92.50 metric ton and granular quantity 40.50 metric ton of fertilizer manufacturing company M/s Jubiliet Agri & Consumer Pvt. Ltd., and Single Super Phosphate powder quantity 226.50 metric ton of another company was found illegally stored in the godown.

Post sampling, the fertilizers were declared non-standard as per analysis of Fertilizer Quality Control Laboratory, Bhopal. In addition, a significant difference of quantity displayed and physically stored on the IFMS portal was found which is a serious irregularity.
