ICAR NMRI, Hyderabad launches its Incubate products
10 March 2025, Hyderabad: ICAR National Meat Research Institute, Hyderabad, launched one of its incubate M/s Madhu’s Herbal Fram Pvt Ltd., product – Herbal Chicken along with a technical session today.
Dr S. B. Barbuddhe, Director, ICAR NMRI, lauded the efforts of Madhu’s Herbal Chicken in raising birds without antibiotics and providing safe and quality chilled chicken to consumers. He further highlighted that India’s ranking of 111th out of 125 countries in the Hunger Index underscores the urgent need to improve the nutritional needs of the Indian population. Incorporating animal-sourced foods, including meat, will play a crucial role in meeting the protein, vitamin, and mineral requirements. Dr Barbuddhe also briefed about various activities of the institute for the development of the modern organized meat sector.
Mr. Vasanthu Mudhusudhana Reddy, CMD, Madhu’s Herbal Chicken Products, explained how their herbal formulations promote the healthy growth of birds without the use of antibiotics. He shared their vision of providing healthy and flavorful chicken to the public and also commended the role of ICAR NMRI in supporting the development of the organized meat sector in India.
A large number of entrepreneurs, startup students, and the public attended the event.
