Haryana Government Launches Voluntary Disclosure Scheme-2024 for Declaration of Unauthorized Load of Tubewell Connection for Agricultural Consumers
05 July 2024, Chandigarh: Haryana Government has launched the Voluntary Load Disclosure Scheme-2024 for agricultural tubewell connections for agricultural consumers in the state. Under this scheme, consumers will require to deposit Rs 100 per kilowatt to increase their load. Additionally, the usual service connection fee of Rs 1500 per BHP will be waived, and their load will be regularized without any penalty. This scheme will be in effect from July 1, 2024, to July 15, 2024.
While stating this here today, Dr. Saket Kumar, Managing Director Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, said that the department has issued a circular regarding the scheme for increasing the load of tubewell connections. Under this scheme, agricultural consumers must settle all outstanding bills before applying. Consumers can declare the extended load of their tubewell motors by applying through the UHBVN portal. It is optional for applicants to disclose details such as the installed motor’s star rating or efficiency on the portal. There is no requirement to submit any terms and conditions form or affidavit. Instead of a test report, consumers need to submit a self-declaration form for the extended load along with an advance consumption deposit (security) as per existing instructions.
He further said that the extension of load will be considered regular from the date of application by the applicant on the corporation portal and upon depositing the required advance consumption deposit (security). The corporation will promptly replace any necessary existing equipment, transformers, or service cables at its own expense. Additionally, flat-rate consumers are also eligible under this scheme, provided they opt for metered supply instead of flat-rate supply.
The Managing Director appealed to all farmers to take advantage of this government scheme and authorize any unauthorized load on their agricultural tube wells. This action will enable the corporation to provide an improved electricity supply to them.
