13 February 2023, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal said that we should never forget the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. He continued by saying that due to their supreme sacrifices we are able to breathe in an independent nation.
Sh. Dalal said this while addressing after unveiling the statue of Shaheed Raghunath Singh Yadav in the premises of Shaheed Raghunath Singh Yadav Government Senior Secondary School in Prahalad Gadh village of district Bhiwani.
The Agriculture Minister said that our country has suffered slavery for years due to British rule. It took a long revolutionary struggle to break the chains of slavery and in this course lakhs of brave men sacrificed their lives. He added that we can never repay the debt of their sacrifices. He informed that Raghunath Singh Yadav was martyred in the Indo-China war in 1962.
He said that government schools are being named after martyrs by the Haryana government so that the young generation can draw inspiration from their lives and contribute in building the country and society. The agriculture minister said that every tenth soldier in the Indian army hails from Haryana.
