Grape expansion in NEH region: a collaborative endeavour of ICAR-NRCG, Pune and ATARI Zone VI Guwahati
18 September 2024, Arunachal Pradesh: As a part of the institute’s ongoing grape area expansion endeavour in the non-traditional areas of the country, Dr. Kaushik Banerjee, Director, ICAR-National Research Centre for Grapes, visited the high altitude areas of Arunachal Pradesh (Tawang valley, above 2700 meter of mean sea level) from 13th–15th September 2024. The expedition was organized in collaboration with ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone VI Guwahati.
The team visited interiors of the hilly areas and provided training to the local farmers. In the next phase, ICAR-NRCG is committed to provide planting material and agro-inputs for enhancing productivity and farmers’ income in Arunachal Pradesh.
