Functional Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies
28 November 2024, New Delhi: As per data available on the National Cooperative Database Portal as on 20.11.2024, there are 1,01,524 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) which are functional in the country. State-wise number of PACS is enclosed as Annexure.
Government of India has implemented the Project for Computerization of functional PACS.
Under the PACS Computerization Project, total financial outlay is ₹2,516 Crore. Out of the total budget of Rs. 2,516 crore, the shares of Government of India (GoI), State Governments and NABARD are Rs. 1528 crore, Rs. 736 crore and Rs. 252 crore, respectively.
So far, proposals for computerization of 67,930 PACS from 30 States/ UTs have been sanctioned, for which Rs. 865.81 Crore has been released including Rs. 699.89 Cr. as GoI share to the States/UTs concerned and Rs. 165.92 Crore to NABARD as implementing agency.
