Former Union Minister Inaugurates Training Programme At The College Of Fisheries, Tripura

24 October 2024, New Delhi: A 3-day training programme on optimizing fish production in small ponds: best management practices” is being organized at the College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Lembucherra, Tripura, in collaboration with ICAR-Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research, Bhimtal from 22nd – 24th October 2024.

The Chief Guest, Ms Pratima Bhowmik, Former Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, emphasized the role of natural farming and its alignment with sustainable fish farming, urging farmers to adopt eco-friendly practices that ensure long-term productivity and environmental health.

Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal, and Dr P. K. Pandey, Director, ICAR-DCFR, were also present during the programme.
