Farmers can apply online till August 25 to avail machines under Crop Residue Management

08 August 2022, Chandigarh: Haryana Government has launched agricultural machinery equipments such as Super Straw Management, Baling Machine, Happy Seeder, Rotary Slasher / Shrub Master, Paddy Straw Chopper, Mulcher, Reversible Plough, Zero Till Drill, Super Seeder, Tractor Driven / Automatic Crop Reaper / Reaper cum Binder to encourage farmers’ to manage crop residue in the state under Crop Residue Management Scheme during the year 2022-23. Applications have been invited to provide subsidies on agricultural machinery under the Crop Residue Management Scheme.

 Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department said that maximum 80 percent subsidy amount and maximum 50 percent subsidy in individual category will be provided to the Panchayat, FPOs / Registered Farmer Societies / Cooperative Societies for setting up Custom Hiring Centre. Farmers’ willing to take benefits under the aforesaid scheme can apply online on the department’s portal agriharyana.gov.in by August 25, 2022.

 The spokesperson said that in order to apply under the category of individual beneficiary, it is mandatory for the farmer to be registered on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal. It is also necessary to have a valid RC of tractor, Parivar Pehchan Patra , PAN card, Aadhar card, self-declaration form, land details and bank account of the registered tractor in the name of the farmer. It is mandatory for a Scheduled Caste farmer to have a caste certificate. Apart from this, a farmer can avail maximum of 3 different types of agricultural machines. The farmers who have taken subsidy for the agricultural machines in the last two years are not eligible to apply for getting subsidy for the machines under this scheme. To apply online, the farmer will have to deposit an online token amount of Rs. 2500 or Rs. 5000 according to the subsidy amount of different agricultural machinery, he added.

 The spokesperson said that registration of committee, PAN card, RC of tractor, Bank account details and Aadhar Card details of the head member is required to apply for setting up of Custom Hiring Centre. A maximum of 5 machines can be applied in this category. He said that according to the guidelines of the scheme, priority would be given to the villages under Red Zone and Yellow Zone in setting up of Custom Hiring Centres in the state.

He said that the entire process for giving subsidy under this scheme would be conducted by the concerned district level executive committee headed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner. For more information, farmers’ can contact the Deputy Director, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department and the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of the concerned district, he added.
