Faiz Ahmed Kidwai Appointed as Director General of Civil Aviation
03 January 2025, New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, IAS (MP:96), as the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Mr. Kidwai has previously served as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation is the apex regulatory body for civil aviation in India, responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and operational standards of the aviation sector.
