Drone Demonstration at ICAR-CRIDA Model Village Gaddamallaiahguda

16 September 2024, New Delhi: ICAR-Central Institute for Dryland Agriculture and Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative organized a drone demonstration using nano urea in paddy field of Shri Ramalinga Reddy, farmer from Gaddamallaiahguda village, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana, today. The village selected for drone demonstration is incidentally where ICAR-CRIDA Model Village project is in operation.

Dr. V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, briefed about the activities doing at the model village and also given the importance of drones in spraying in the farmer’s fields.

Vegetable seed kits from ICAR- Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru were distributed to farmers for demonstration purpose during the programme. Each seed kit consisted of vegetable seeds of eight crops viz., bottle gourd, yardlong bean, french bean, dolichos, palak, amaranthus, tomato and chilly. The participating farmers were briefed about the drone spraying viz., dosage, spray techniques etc.
