Dr. Anup Das, Director, ICAR-RCER, Meets Dr. Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary DARE & DG ICAR

30 April 2025, New Delhi: Dr. Anup Das, Director of the ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR-RCER), Patna, called on Dr. Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi.

During the meeting, Dr. Das presented a comprehensive overview of ICAR-RCER’s research, extension, training, and academic initiatives aimed at driving agricultural transformation in Eastern India. He highlighted the institute’s major achievements, key ongoing projects, and its strategic roadmap for the future. On this occasion, Dr. Das also presented Dr. Jat with a commemorative publication titled “25 Years of Glorious Journey of Innovation and Excellence” as a token of respect.

Dr. Jat commended the institute’s contributions and emphasized the importance of continued innovation, adoption of advanced agricultural technologies, and robust farmer outreach to enhance the impact of research. He underlined the immense potential of Eastern India’s agricultural sector and called for the widespread dissemination of modern technologies to catalyze regional development.

The discussion also covered administrative and institutional matters, including human resource development and the modernization of workflows and infrastructure. The interaction was seen as a key step toward shaping the future direction of ICAR-RCER and strengthening its linkages with the ICAR Headquarters.

Dr. Das was accompanied by Mr. Pushpanayak, Chief Administrative Officer, and Mr. Rashmi Kant, Assistant at the institute. The information was shared by Mr. Umesh Kumar Mishra, Member Secretary (Media), ICAR-RCER, Patna.
